Job Description
Located just outside of Peterborough, the client is a warehouse and distribution specialist who operates deliveries to the food service, retail and manufacturing sectors. Delivery and collection of palletised, ambient food products (curtain-siders) is nationwide.
We are recruiting for reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing regular work. The client is flexible with the start times; see below for further details.

Responsibilities:
- Vehicle checks to be completed daily using 'Pre-Drive App', reporting any defects accordingly
- Ensure loads are sufficiently secured before transportation
- Transportation of goods and deliveries to their intended destinations in a safe and timely manner
- Ensure all PODs are signed and completed in line with company policy
- Always maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy manner
- Follow company procedures and maintain contact with the transport office informing them of potential delays
Job Remuneration
Pay rates:
All rates are inclusive of holiday pay
Days
Monday - Friday £16.25
Saturday £17.43
Sunday £18.49
Nights
Monday - Friday £17.50
Saturday £18.25
Sunday £19.25
Job Hours
Schedule:
Monday - Friday with some weekend work
The start times are between either 04.00 - 07.00, or 17.00 - 18.00
10-15 hour shifts
55- 60 expected hours per week
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence, DQC Qualification and Digital Tacho Card
- 2 years' Class 1 commercial driving experience
- Excellent Knowledge of EU Working Time and Driving Time regulations
- Reliability and punctuality are an essential part of this role
- Flexibility and a can-do attitude towards work
- Well-presented and professional, customer focused attitude
