Reliable tramper driver needed
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. The work will mainly involve the transportation of ambient palletised food products with the use of Tautliner's. There will also be some General Haulage involved from time to time. This work is ongoing, with both full-time and part-time work available.
Occasional travel to Wimblington may be required

Day-to-day role
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
- Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues or repairs needed promptly.

Job Hours
Schedule:
Weekdays and weekends are available, with flexible AM and PM start times. The typical day will involve a 12-hour shift.
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence with C+E Entitlement
- Current DQC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 years' commercial driving experience
- Must be punctual and reliable at all times
- No more than 6 penalty points (No DD's or DR's)
- A sound knowledge of Drivers Hours' and Working Time Directive Legislation
- Be smart and well presented at all times
