Role Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll play a vital role within the warehouse team. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, while meeting On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) targets. You’ll also be committed to maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Handling: Safely unload, load, and move goods using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Stock Management: Replenish stock, put away goods, and assist with inventory counts when needed.
  • Order Preparation: Pick pallets and cases accurately, ensuring all items are prepared for dispatch.
  • Dispatch Duties: Load trailers securely and in line with manifests to ensure safe transportation.
  • Rework: Perform tasks such as re-stacking, case sorting, and pallet adjustments as required.
  • Team Support: Assist other departments during busy periods and undertake additional duties as needed.

Job Hours

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Rotating Shifts)

  • Week A: 06:00 - 14:00
  • Week B: 14:00 - 22:00

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and punctuality.

Desirable:

  • Pivot and Reach Truck Licence.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with RDT scanning equipment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required.

 

Eligibility: Applicants must have permission to work in the UK.
